About the Finance Department
Belmont’s Finance Department manages an annual citywide budget of roughly 94 million including both operating and capital budgets. The team supports every department by providing financial planning, accounting services, forecasting and transparent reporting. It is a collaborative group that takes pride in accuracy, service and a steady commitment to strong fiscal management.
What you will do
You will work on a wide range of accounting responsibilities that keep the City running smoothly: maintaining financial records, supporting the annual audit, preparing reports for departments and outside agencies, reconciling accounts and helping staff with budget and expenditure questions. Senior level candidates may also take on complex assignments and provide guidance to other staff. You will work closely with a dedicated Finance team and report directly to the Accounting Manager.
