In this webinar, staff from the Legislative Analyst’s Office (LAO) will provide an overview of the LAO’s analysis of the Governor’s January 2025 budget proposal and the related fiscal outlook. The analysis addresses the overall condition of the state budget for 2025-26 and whether the state has capacity for its ongoing spending commitments. Michael Coleman will provide additional information and insights specific to local agencies. As local agencies prepare their operating budgets, information about the Governor’s proposed budget and the fiscal outlook are key considerations.
