THE POSITION
The Finance Analyst will serve as a key member of the Finance Department, coordinating the City’s budget programs and ensuring financial operations are executed with accuracy, efficiency, and alignment to organizational priorities. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making through the development, monitoring, and coordination of the City’s budget. The ideal candidate will bring a “can do” attitude and a proactive, solution-focused approach to their work, thriving in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and accountability are essential.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Assist with the City’s annual budget process, including development, monitoring, and reporting
  • Lead the Road and Bridge Benefit District (RBBD) nexus study project
  • Conduct special districts budget levy calculations
  • Update and maintain Finance Department administrative policies and procedures
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of the annual audit process


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The City of Eastvale is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to take ownership of finance programs. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong financial acumen and analytical skills capable of independently coordinating budget programs and projects from development to implementation. They will assist with the administration of the full budget cycle, ensuring department budget requests are accurate and timely, analyzing sources and synthesizing budget data for public consumption. They will possess strong attention to detail and a deep understanding of municipal finance, enabling them to confidently develop, monitor, and refine budget data in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements. This individual must be comfortable working independently while also engaging collaboratively across departments to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability in all finance-related activities. We are looking for someone who is not only results-driven but also passionate about public service and brings a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to every challenge.

$98,205.93 - $122,645.75 Annually
$8,183.83 - $10,220.48 Monthly
$47.21 - $58.96 Hourly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible financial analysis, budget administration, or accounting experience. Governmental experience is highly desirable.
