Inland Empire Chapter Update

Tuesday, May 21, 2024

The Inland Empire Chapter of CSMFO changed things up a bit as they hosted their Spring chapter meeting on April 25, 2024, at the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture located in the Riverside Art Museum. Thank you to our generous sponsor, Todd Winslow of CalTrust.
Registration hit capacity at this new and exciting venue as the group welcomed speaker Will Goldthwait of State Street Global Advisors. While the attendees enjoyed a tasty catered fare (sans utensils, IYKYK), Mr. Goldthwait engagingly spoke on the Fed, what moves an economy into a recession and what economic data and market intelligence metrics to watch for in the coming months. Many participants were actively engaged, asking questions throughout the presentation, and even sticking around after the conclusion of the meeting to discuss this hot topic. With this new venue came a unique opportunity for the group to mingle and take advantage of the extra hour dedicated to allowing our chapter to tour and enjoy the Museum.

Not only did we have a knowledgeable speaker, great food, and great company, but we were also hosted by an excellent group of CSMFO volunteers. Special thanks to Tori Roberts (Inland Empire Chapter Chair), Sid Jain and Matthew Schenk (Inland Empire Chapter Vice Chairs), and Veronica Bustillos, Jessica Brown, Evelyn Morentin Barcena, and Heidi Schoeppe (Chapter Committee Members). For more information related to the presentation or topic, please contact Todd Winslow at todd@caltrust.org. We look forward to seeing you all at our July 25th meeting at Top Golf in Ontario!
