The Sacramento Valley Chapter of CSMFO started the year with a lively holiday celebration and networking luncheon at Top Golf in Roseville, CA, sponsored
by Oracle.
The sold-out event featured a keynote presentation by Antoinette Joy of Ajoy Consulting, who delivered valuable insights on recruiting and retaining
top talent. |

Antoinette began the meeting with an engaging presentation. She highlighted her philosophy of having the candidate interview the interviewer during recruitment,
leaned on the importance of value-based interview questions, and covered strategies to ensure the position is described to allow for the best candidate match. In addition,
Antoinette discussed successful approaches to employee retention, including showing genuine appreciation, empowering employees to seek help, and providing attainable growth
opportunities through mentoring, cross-training, coaching, and training, to name a few.

The Sacramento Chapter also unveiled its Spotlight on Excellence Award Program at this Chapter meeting, a new, inventive recognition program allowing Chapter members to nominate other Chapter Members to be recognized for exceptional achievements. If you’re
a chapter member and want to submit a nomination, they are due by January 31st to
NouVang@cosumnescsd.gov.

Not only was the engagement from the membership throughout the presentation on point, but conversations flowed into the activity of the day where the Sacramento Chapter members took the dialogue to the tee box! With appetizers in hand and a little competitive
spirit in the air, members partook in some fun-spirited games, making both memories and connections.

is a registered principal municipal advisor representative and a leader in the development of innovative solutions for the formation and administration of special financing
districts for municipalities throughout California and Nevada.
Heidi has 20 years of experience in providing full program management, administration, annexation, district auditing, constituent relations, and consulting services.
Heidi has authored disclosure, debt, and land-secured special financing district policies, staying in front of legislative updates to ensure her clients are receiving
sound guidance.
Heidi currently serves as Vice Chair to the Communication Committee and as an Advisor to the CSMFO Professional Standard Committee. In addition, Heidi is a member
of the Leadership Team for the Inland Empire Chapter of CSMFO.
