Experience in hands-on environments in accounting operations, was responsible for month-end/year-end closings, budget preparation, coordinating financial audits, CAFR preparation, financial reporting, developed policies/procedures, initiated departmental audits and system conversions.
Assignments have included the development of detailed Action Plan for the re-organization of Finance Departments, financial budget preparation and redesign, year-end closings, the development of analytics for monthly, mid-year & year-end financial review, developed five year financial forecasts, created an irrevocable trust in the CalPERS CERBT program for Retiree Medical Liability, developed policies /procedures, system conversions with new chart of accounts and catch-up of account reconciliations (bank recon., special deposits, fixed assets etc.)
